Go LaSalle

UniLaSalle boosts the international dimension of its teaching with the « Go LaSalle » program

The Go LaSalle program, due to be introduced for the start of the 2018 academic year, will give UniLaSalle’s engineering students valuable experience abroad via partnerships with the global network of La Salle universities, composed of 62 institutions worldwide. Around twenty partner universities, in Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica and the Philippines, will begin hosting nearly 150 UniLaSalle students in summer 2018.

The program will initially be aimed at Agronomy and Agro-Industry engineering students, before being extended to Food and Health students in 2019, and Earth and Environmental Sciences students in 2020.

A bespoke program developed with the host university

With Go LaSalle, students will enjoy a bespoke study program that combines quality teaching with an international outlook.

Go LaSalle is based on three principles:

  • The syllabus is developed jointly by UniLaSalle and each host university to make sure the course content is relevant to UniLaSalle students,
  • Teaching is provided in the language of the host country to help students improve the level of their second language (Spanish, Portuguese or English, depending on the university),
  • The program is based on the global network of La Salle universities, composed of 62 establishments worldwide that share the same values and offer similar academic and social environments.

Go LaSalle is part of an ambitious strategy for the year 2020 which aims to offer students on the three engineering programs at UniLaSalle two mandatory periods abroad:

  • An initial experience in one of the 20 La Salle partner universities via the Go LaSalle program,
  • A period abroad at the end of their studies, with students being given the choice of spending time at one of the 135 UniLaSalle partner universities (a semester, a study period leading to a qualification or a dual degree) or completing an internship abroad.
