UniLaSalle acquires a new R & D platform dedicated to ozone.
The LaSalle O3 platform, which is unique in Europe, was inaugurated on Friday, 13 January, in the presence of Xavier Bertrand, president of the Hauts-de-France region, Gilles Boitel, vice-president of the Communauté d’agglomération du Beauvaisis (the Beauvais metropolitan communityà, Blaise Gourtay, Secretary General of the Oise Prefecture, industrial partners (Jean-Luc Alexandre spoke for Suez Infrastructures) and several elected local and regional authorities.
For several years, the school of engineering has been maintaining a strong and active interest in ozone applications (17 Soleau envelopes and 6 patents).
Chemical properties, exceptional reactivity and its very low environmental impact make ozone a real opportunity to respond to environmental challenges in agri-food production and processing, agro-resources development and Green chemistry.
This project, which is a driving force for R & D in the region, was born thanks to the commitment and financial support of the Hauts-de-France Regional Council and the Communauté d’agglomération du Beauvaisis.
