Exploring French Terroirs

Participate in an intensive, interdisciplinary program that combines French history and culture, geography and pedology, food production.

You will gain valuable insight into French agriculture and cultural landscapes and discover what makes French agriculture unique.

Through the optional work placement program, you will gain practical, international experience while earning college credits.

The program’s strengths

 

  • Up to 8 US Credits: 1 US Credit/week and 4 US Credits for
    the one-month field placement.

Admission criteria
Who is the program for?

The program is designed for Juniors, Seniors or Master degree students in Agricultural
Engineering, Agricultural Economy, Agronomy, Landscape Ecology,
Human Ecology, or Geography from an accredited institution.

For non-native speakers of English: 785 TOEIC, 567 TOEFL paper (or 227 TOEFLcbt, 87 TOEFLibt), 6.5 IELTS.

French: not required but basic French would be useful for the field
experience option.

Dates

On Campus Program: May 17 – June 16, 2017
Internship Program: June 19 – July 19, 2017

Tuition fees and other expenses
Fees

For students from partner universities:

  • On Campus Program: 2000 euros
  • On Campus + internship: 2400 euros

For students from non-partner universities:

  • Only On Campus Program: 4800 euros

Costs include: all field visits and excursions (transportation, overnight), OW transportation from CDG Airport to UniLaSalle, on campus housing, RT transportation from UniLaSalle to work placement, work placement administration fee

Costs not included: RT travel from country of origin, passport/visa fees, mandatory health and liability insurance coverage, all meals (optional meal plan available at approx. 10€/day), personal expenses, incl. personal travel on long weekends at Ascension and Pentecost (see schedule). Return transportation from UniLaSalle to airport at the end of the program.
